Secret Riches Revealed

Isaiah 45:3 (NLT) says, “And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness – secret riches.  I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.” This is one of my all-time favorite verses in the Word. First of all, it assures us that God indeed has hidden treasures stored up that we have yet to see. These are His secret riches, and if we’re faithful, He will reveal them. If you look within the confines of your own environments, professionally and socially, you might come away with the notion that there are slim pickins’ as far as eligible Godly men are concerned. Isaiah 45:3 nips that notion in the bud. God’s blessings are unlimited—never ending. So, there’s a whole other treasure of future husbands that many of us have never thought about or know exists. This is really good news!

Christian women are crying out to our Heavenly Father night and day, asking Him to present them with the man of their dreams. God hears them, and He wants them to understand that He knows their hearts. He knows that they desire to meet someone of quality, someone that will appreciate them. As single women of God, we must know that God does not change, and His Word does not change. If He promises something, it is going to come to pass, but our obedience is also required.

Although many of us are praying for one particular blessing or another, when it all boils down to it, what we are really looking for is the opportunity that leads to the blessing. For instance, you might have already seen the man you are going to marry a dozen times, but you won’t be able to identify him as a possible presentation from Heavenly Father until the both of you are in an environment where he feels compelled to ask you out. So, the opportunity that will land the two of you at the carwash on Saturday afternoon is going to be the result of your obedience and prayer.

Our eyes have to be opened spiritually to pray the right prayer, speak the right confession, think the right thoughts; all so that we will be strategically positioned at the most opportune time. Things like fear, doubt, negative emotions, and sin keep us blocked, because they keep our minds and hearts from functioning optimally. They keep us from perceiving and receiving the very directions from Holy Spirit that will position us to receive.

We have a responsibility to God and to ourselves to stay on point spiritually, so that we are making the most of our lives by tapping into God’s secret riches and hidden treasures. Here are a few positive and confirming confessions that will help you remain on the path:

  • I trust that God is my Source of supply for all good things through the Lord Jesus Christ. I have all that I need in the right now of my circumstances to believe God for the manifestation of my desires, and I partner with Him through Christ in faith.
  • Colossians 2:10 tells me that I am complete in every way in every circumstance through Jesus Christ. I trust that I am complete in him, and that I can do all things through the strength he gives me.
  • God, in His rich and unlimited supply, has provided for all my needs. According to His promises, I am released into my destiny. I am filled with His love, and I receive all the good He has coming now and continually my way. I thank Him for the husband He has destined for my life. Together we will grow in Christ and be committed to fulfill God’s purpose in our union.
  • I am laying up treasures in heaven by abstaining from sexual sin, and I thank God that I’m rewarded with a strong marriage and a devoted spouse.
  • My husband knows and fulfills God’s expectations as a husband, and I know and fulfill God’s expectations as a wife.

Affirm these often as you make notes of the wonderful things you’d like to see come to pass in your married life. Keep a journal or put these notes some place where they can be a daily reminder of your faith in God. Stay committed and encouraged in Christ!
