Trusting His Timing, Not Ours
Waiting on God’s timing isn’t easy — especially when faith meets real-life desires. Whether it’s love, purpose, or unanswered prayers, the waiting can test our patience and our trust. But God’s plan is never late. Isaiah 60:22 reminds us that when the time is right, the Lord will make it happen. This devotional for women dives into what it means to trust God’s promises in seasons of waiting — learning to grow spiritually, walk in faith, and stay confident in His timing.
Prayer
Dear Father God,
Thank You for being the Author of perfect timing. Help me to trust You when I can’t see how or when things will come together. Teach me to wait well—to grow, to surrender, and to stay rooted in faith until You make it happen. I know that everything You do is good and right. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, I pray, amen.
Reflection and Soul Work
- Where might God be calling you to trust His timing instead of your own? Are there areas where you’ve been asking Him to “make it happen,” but He’s asking you to let Him make you ready?
- Where is God asking you to wait instead of worry? Be honest with yourself—what is that waiting revealing about your trust in Him?
- What are you asking God to “make happen”? Sit with that for a moment. Are there patterns, thoughts, or emotions He’s asking you to lay down before the promise comes?
- Shift your focus from what you’re waiting for to who you’re becoming while you wait. God isn’t just preparing the blessing—He’s preparing you to carry it well.

When our hearts align with His, our desires become divine.

John 10:10 (NKJV)
“ The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Jesus came to give you abundance—not just in things, but in purpose and peace.
Romans 12:2 (NLT)
“Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”
Transformation always precedes manifestation.
Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT)
“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.”
Delay doesn’t mean denial—God’s promise has perfect timing.
God’s timing is never random—it’s redemptive. Every delay has purpose, every season has meaning, and every promise is working its way toward fulfillment. These Scriptures remind us that while we wait, God is still moving. Trust that His hands are building what your faith has been praying for. At the right time, He will make it happen. ■
