Spring: The Season of Healing and Renewal
Spring is the season where God breathes fresh life into places that once felt barren. Just as the earth awakens after winter, your soul begins to heal and your heart and mind open to new possibilities. In Christ, this season is not just about growth — it’s about renewal. Broken places are restored. Old burdens are lifted. What you’ve tried to hide, He is ready to heal.
In Spring, the seeds of your breakthrough are planted. It’s a reminder that no matter what has been lost, God is faithful to make all things new.
What to Expect in This Season
Expect God to uncover the wounds you’ve tried to bury. He doesn’t expose them to shame you, but to heal you. Awareness is the doorway to restoration, and the Lord knows exactly when you’re ready for Him to touch that place. “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds” (Psalm 147:3, NLT).
Expect a fresh surge of hope to rise in your heart and mind. Just like a seed that refuses to stay hidden underground, hope pushes past yesterday’s heaviness. It insists on breaking through. “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him” (Romans 15:13, NLT).
Expect kindness and goodness to take deeper root in you. Even if old habits surface—like harshness, defensiveness, or compromise try to rise—they cannot choke what God is maturing. He is bringing His character to maturity in you — shaping you from the inside out with a transformation only He can accomplish.
Expect God to flip the script in areas where pain has had the loudest voice. Where grief settled in, He is bringing joy. Where anxiety ruled, He is releasing peace. Where weakness lingered, He is speaking strength. This is the kind of transformation only He can do — and He will.
The Battle
Spring is gentle, but it’s also dangerous. When old wounds surface, the enemy doesn’t sit back—he pounces. He whispers lies meant to chain you down: “You’ll never be whole. You’re still broken. Nothing is really changing.” The fight in this season is against despair, unbelief, and the pull to give up before your roots go deep.
Yes, the Spirit is growing love and joy in you, but the enemy pushes back with fear and sorrow. Don’t see them as harmless emotions—see them as alarms, pointing to the very places where God is ready to bring breakthrough. Don’t resist—surrender to Jesus Christ.
- Fear sneers, “You’re still bound.”
Jesus declares, “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free” (John 8:36, NLT). - Grief moans, “Your joy is gone for good.”
The Spirit counters, “Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Psalm 30:5, NLT).
Spring is not exposure for shame—it’s exposure for freedom. The very fact that you’re still standing shows that His power is greater than what tried to break you. Your healing is a weapon, and it shouts that the resurrection power of Christ is alive and undefeated in you.
