Help Us Bless Your Kingdom

Dear Heavenly Father,

As Your children, it’s our privilege and responsibility to be the salt of the earth. It’s our job to season it with Your love and goodness by spreading Your Word; for Your Word is excellent seed and will harvest good fruit. There’s no reason why our lives shouldn’t be overflowing with blessings, because there’s so many ways we can sow good seed. The smallest things like giving a compliment can make someone’s day, but the biggest and most abundant way we can bless anyone is to speak Your Word to them. It’s encourages hearts right down to the core.

I was reminded of this a few weeks ago when a homeless man approached my mom and me at the grocery store. He said, “Anything you can offer would be a big help.” My mom told the man that she would give him some money, but before she did, she made sure the gift would be blessed. She wanted to introduce him to the Lord Jesus Christ and began to witness the Gospel to him. Sharing the truth of God’s love through Christ, my mom ended with Romans 10:9-10(NKJV) which says, “9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  She asked this man if he wanted to accept the Lord into his heart, and he replied, ‘Yes!’ She told him that God will never leave nor forsake him, and that he is loved.

Heavenly Father, witnessing this touched my heart, because so many people, even some Christians, would’ve overlooked this man. They would have looked upon him as a hindrance or bother, instead of seeing him as an opportunity to add to Your to Kingdom and to be a blessing.

God, You wake us up with a new task for Your kingdom every day. Thank You so much for this. Please help us to open our eyes to the many ways that we are assigned to carry forth our Kingdom duties.

When we witness Your Word to others according to Your directive, that is our fruit. Help us to turn-off those push-buttons of arrogance and self-importance.  Our lives will only mirror the example of Jesus Christ when we see everyone as a person that is deserving of Your love and grace.

You said in Isaiah 55:11(NLT), “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” We are the vessels that You have assigned to carry forth Your Word.  We need to know enough about it to speak it plainly, like my mom did, and to do it with confidence. We are speaking life, and giving people the truth so they can build their lives on a solid foundation. Our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, left no ‘t’ uncrossed or ‘i’ undotted. He fulfilled every detail of Your plan, from the greatest to the smallest, and nothing was left out. Because of what he accomplished for us, Romans 10:11 says “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” And Romans 10:12-13 declares that there’s no distinction between Jew and Greek. You love us all, and whoever calls on the name of Jesus Christ will be saved! How wonderful You are, God! Praise Your Holy Name! Because of Christ, we too can please You!

Through Your Precious Son, we have the ability to introduce light into the lives of others, so that they might be saved. In Romans 10:15(NLT), You tell us, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news”. Thank You, Father, right now in the name of Jesus Christ, for helping us all to be courageous and have the faith to share Your Word with those that need it so desperately; for Jesus Christ said the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Help us to labor for You, to give You our best and our all. Thank You, Holy and Glorious Heavenly Father for helping us to be a blessing to Your Kingdom. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
