Merciful Heavenly Father,

Thank You for blessing me with a life that I can employ for Your glory. I magnify Your Holy name, for truly You are worthy to be greatly praised. Please forgive me for my sins, and help me to forgive those that have wronged me in some way. I pray that Your Will be done in my life, and I know that it is Your Will for me to be happy and blessed; and to become the courageous, spiritually fortified woman that You desire me to be.

Thank You for blessing me to be the wife of a man that loves You, and honors You with his life. I am not asking for someone that is perfect, but I’m asking You for a man that is perfectly suited for me; someone with whom I can continue to grow in Christ.  Someone that has all the attributes that You have ordained to be of use and benefit for not just my life, but for the lives of all those that will be blessed by our union.

I’ve made mistakes in the past. Please help me to remember the lessons, but to forget the self-condemnation; to forgive myself for not knowing and doing better, and to forgive those that have hurt me as well. I desire a clean slate, Father, one that will be filled with beautiful new memories and wondrous possibilities. I want to stand back to back with my husband, poised to defend each other with the faith, unity, love, and obedience of Your Word, and with the strength and power of Jesus Christ.

Please strengthen my husband to be. Prepare his heart to receive me, and to love and care for me as Jesus Christ loves the church. Open my eyes, Father, so that I may see the things that have been hidden from me before. Help me to see the error of my ways. Renew in me a right spirit and prepare me to be the wife that You would have me to be. I know that as I put off the attitudes, behaviors, and thoughts that have blocked me from Your blessings, that my husband-to-be is doing the same. He’s praying for me as fervently and tenderly as I am praying for him.

Let our paths cross soon, Father. Strategically position us and let us recognize each other in the spirit. I thank You for this divine union; for Your loving guidance and supernatural intervention in bringing us together and blessing our lives as we grow to honor and reverence each other as husband and wife. In the precious and powerful name of Your Son, and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!
