Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being such an awesome and wonderful Father. You are holy and righteous, and there is none that compares to You. Because of Your love, You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to show us the way to have a loving and intimate relationship with You. He accomplished the mission that You sent him to earth to achieve, and he gave his life as a sacrifice for our sins. Thank You, Dear Father, for Jesus! Thank You that our old sinful life died on the cross with him, and when he was resurrected, we were too! Through him, we have a new life! 2Corinthians 5:17 declares that old things are passed away, and all things have become new!
Dear Father, please help our unbelief, because many of Your people are not believing Your Word the way they should. We’re getting down to the nitty gritty, and time is running out. It’s time for people to trust Your Word as never before. They must choose who they are going to serve, light or darkness. To serve the light is to choose You, because You are the light and in Ephesians 5:8, You command us to be children of light. We are to imitate You in all that we do.
Please help us to do this, Father. As believing women, help us to understand Your goodness and cling to it. We must walk in Your love and grace by putting Your Word in our hearts. Some of us are not reading and studying Your Word as much as we should, so we are not increasing in knowledge about You. Therefore our faith isn’t increasing and isn’t where it needs to be. We are praying to meet our future spouses, and for many other blessings, but we are not being obedient to do what You have commanded in Ephesians 4:23-24, which is to renew our minds and to put on the newness we have received through Jesus Christ.
In Deuteronomy 30:19-20(NLT), You told Your people living in Old Testament times, “19 Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! 20 You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” You do not change, Heavenly Father. You are the same today, yesterday, and forever. This choice that You gave Your people thousands of years ago applies to those of us living today. If we choose You, we will have a fully persuaded faith in You, and we will not waver in our commitment to trust You completely.
Our obedience to Your Word is the proof of our faith in You. Believing and living Your Word is life to us! People are wasting time by looking to fill their voids and emptiness with other people and things. They should be seeking You and You alone, because You are the Lifter of our heads and the Source of all our joy! Time is winding up and we don’t have time to play around. We are here on this earth for one purpose and that is to glorify You through Christ and fulfill the destiny and plan You’ve set for us. Please help us to wake up before it is too late! Thank You for giving us Your Word and for sending Your Son to save us. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.■
